U.S. Premiere of "Catholicism" : Sept. 22nd in the Nation's Capital

"Catholicism" comes to U.S. public television stations this fall, with the first broadcast set for Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 8-10 p.m. EST in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. Maryland Public Television (MPT), a statewide network also covering the nation's capital, will air two episodes of "Catholicism" on both September 22nd and September 29th.

WTTW-11 (PBS) in Chicago is the presenting station for the "Catholicism" series and will air four episodes on consecutive Thursdays from 8-9 p.m. CST beginning October 13th.  PBS affiliates in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta and over 75 other public television stations plan to broadcast "Catholicism." The Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) will launch the series with a special "Catholicism Week" in November. Updated listings to be posted soon on the WATCH page...

I can hardly wait to see this entire series and have recommended our church purchase it for small faith group prayer and study.

I don't see North Carolina public television (WUNC-TV) on the list. How can we get our local PBS affiliate to pick up the program?

The program director of WQED-TV Pittsburgh PA won't air it because he said that it is "too evangelical" and sectarian in its approach. BTW...I believe he's a practicing Catholic (!) He doesn't understand how the other PBS stations are getting away with it.
