"One of the most memorable experiences of our journey involved a stop that wasn't even planned. On the way back from Galilee to Jerusalem, our local sound man directed us down a winding, mountainous road. We got out of the car and climbed up a small sandy hill. At the top was one of the most amazing sights I've ever seen. Miles and miles of sandy, rocky desert appeared before us - straight out of Lawrence of Arabia.  In the middle of all this desert, was an enormous, beautiful monastery that had been carved into the side of a mountain. It was truly spectacular."

Matt Leonard is part owner of Picture Show Films, the Leonard family production company located in Chicago, Illinois. He is a producer, writer, director and editor and has over 16 years experience in television production. His previous jobs include work for the NBC Today show, NBC Nightly News, ESPN, and Sony/BMG. He was a writer/director/editor for a nationwide series of commercials for Weber Grills. He also was a writer/director/editor on ABC Family's The Brendan Leonard Show and also directed and edited the series The Ride of Our Lives, which aired nationwide on PBS.  Matt lives in Chicago with his wife, Margarita, and his sons, Brady and Sam.
